The Air and Space Museum

On 12/26, part of my family(my cousin,my cousin's dad,my grandpa,my grandma and I) went in the Air and Space museum. I was shocked that when I entered a new world that includes about everything related to space or air. Today I will explain what I looked at and inspected.                                                  


     First we went in the How Do Things Fly? area. There were a bunch of activities there, such as Float The Ball!, Bang The Drum! and many more activities related to space in there. My favorite one is the make  a shockwave.                                                                                                     


Then we went to look at some rockets.They were huge and that made me wonder if they were fake.  We saw The V-2, The Wac Corporal, The Viking and many more rockets.


After that we saw this video of the moon and how it got it's features and marks. The moon was the narrator of the show. On it's right there was some moon rocks that the Apollo15,16 and 17 took. There were captions on the side that told each other apart.


Then we went to get a squashed penny at the gift shop. The machine had screws that were very fancy and a human model sitting and working. I got a moon and a rocket together design on the penny. Finally we went home to eat lunch. The trip to the Air and Space Museum was short but cool!

Yellowstone National Park

On 8/27  we were at Yellowstone national park. We saw lots of different  types of wildlife there like bulls,elk deer,moose and bears. The best part was when the geysers sprout.                                                                                  
                                                                                                                            
We went to old fateful next it shot the higher than any other geyser in Yellowstone and it was the oldest geyser in Yellowstone. By the time we got there the place was packed with people  waiting for the next sprout. When I saw it, it was the biggest sprout I ever seen in my life. The next day we went to see old fateful I quickly went to get a stamp for my national park passport. This time we got there early so we got a front row seat . We saw  chipmunk pass by so I took a quick picture of it. Then when old fateful blasted I put it on film and saw it go shorter .                                                                    
                                                                                                             
Then we went to Sheepeater  cliff it was awesome there. All rocks there  were vertically straight. I wish there was a smaller version of it so I could keep it, But even if they had it they would say no.      
                                                                                                             
After that we went to the Grand prismatic. there were cool pools but not the ones you swim in but the ones you look at. There were bactaira  mats which were brown. Then once we saw all of them we went home. What a cool trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glacier National Park

On 8/24 we went to Glacier National Park, which is located in Montana.
When we just passed the gate, I saw all the snow on the top of the mountains, burned trees by real wild fires and sign that says "Be bear aware!" and "Don't feed the goats!" I was surprised. "Wow, I never knew that there were so much wildlife here!" Then my baby sister was scared and said "Lets get out of here!" But nobody cared at all. 
After that we dropped off my dad for his own walk tour. Then we went to a fancy hotel that had it's own boat tour and lake. I was playing with my sister when my bought us tickets. There were also food stores and a stage. It was the coolest hotel I ever saw in my life. Too bad I wasn't staying there for the night. When we stared the boat tour, our guide told us about mountains and glaciers. My favorite mountain was Mount Wover, which is named after a person named Wover and the mountain's nickname is Heavy Shield because it looks like a shield .Then he told us about the difference between grizzly bears and black bears. 
After that, we got off the boat and walked a lot on the trail. Suddenly I saw my dad. He came looking for us because he saw a grizzly bear on the trail up on the mountain. So we walked back with him to the boat. 
The next day we went to Logan pass and took the trail uphill. We saw goats, resting on the ice. There are ponds and snow, too. We all got to the ice except my grandpa because he didn't come with us. Then we took some pictures and went back to our hotel.
What an awesome national park it is!

Winter

Winter is a time when you can play in the soft white chilly snow. The north pole and south pole become pitch black day and night. Some places have winter at different times. Like the north hemisphere has it in December, January and February. On the other hand the south hemisphere has it in June, July and August. In winter there are some holidays like Christmas, Martin king's Birthday, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Groundhogs Day. You can make 2 kinds of snow, toothbrush snow and potato chip snow. The potato chip snow is crunching a whole bag of potato chips and dip them in white paint and then  put them on you painting. Then tooth brush snow is you get a old tooth brush and then you dip the bristles in white paint and put them on the painting. And here's a fast fact: When winter is near the north or south poles the water freezes miles away.

Fall

When it is fall the leaves start to turn colorful. The wind starts to breezy and chilly, and there are holidays too, I will name them, there is Halloween and Thanksgiving.We start school when it is fall and we can go and harvest food like pumpkins, squash and apples. We can also play in the leaves and rake them. And you should start wearing sweaters and coats. When it is the end of fall all trees will have no leaves and it will be cold as winter .  
The nights will be longer and the north and south poles will be beyond extremely cold. But the near the equator when its fall there would be windy. I hope you learned a lot!

Summer

In the Summer, pesky mosquitoes come out and people feast on ice cream and watermelon to cool themselves in the warm summer heat, enjoy themselves in a nice swimming pool, and most of all, get a break from school!Summer is the time you play with your water guns, ride on a boat, and sleep under the stars with your best friends.

The first great thing about summer is the chance to sleep under the stars with your friends and family, and that is a good thing because you can enjoy the twilight breeze together and embrace the everlasting feeling , lingering on until you fall into a long, dreamless sleep.

The second nice part about summer is that the weather is almost always perfect for swimming, which, I would greatly recommend to everyone. Swimming can be the key to change the hot weather into a fun, splashing sport and exercising the body all the same. After a day in the sun, swimming is the correct choice to end the day with a playful splash! This is the second conclusion to the many advantages of swimming.

The third advantage of summer is the three month break from school! This gives you a chance for more time to play and less work to do, one of the best things in summer! The fourth best thing about summer is the garden. Summer is when all the flowers bloom and the fruits and vegetables are almost ready to harvest. But beware there are pesky weeds they will ruin your garden so take their roots out and throw them away.

Spring

Spring is a time when plants start to sprout, animals come out of their dens and it gets warmer. People celebrate Easter, Groundhog day ST. Patrick's day and Earth day. Spring is the best time to plant flowers and vegetables. But the North pole and the South pole are still cold. People usually go out side to fly kites in March. Spring will come in very windy and leave calm. And then people can go out shopping easier because there is smaller bits of snow on the road. And the bridges are not that icy. Spring is a very good season don't you think?

Poke Park

In Poke' park, Pikachu and his friends try to save Poke' park by playing attractions like Bulbasaur's Daring dash, Empoleon's snow slide, Blaziken's Rock smash, and much more terrific games. From those games you get berries, that you use to make your power, health, and attack better. There are 9 zones including the sky pavilion, the place where you meet Mew, a legendary Pokemon, and restore the sky pavilion.

I defeated the whole game, made millions of friends, and restored the wonderful Poke' Park. I still didn't make friends with all the Pokemon, though. The poke park is a fun game and is loads of fun for anyone alike. There are Pokemon that help you get you attack better, they are in the meeting place.

Spiderman

Spider man can swing on webs and climb on buildings. The actual person who is inside the suit is Peter Parker. A black widow spider bit him and then he realized that he could climb on walls and shoot webs from his hands. In a story he got into a super black ink that made him stronger. He has villains to defeat like Venom, Lizard and others.

Mario

Luigi

Mario

Mario is in a lot of video games, including Mario kart, Mario Bros, and lots of other fun and addicting games. Mario has a blood red hat, with a big M in the middle. He has sky blue cartoon eyes, a curved mustache, and many other distinguished figures. Mario changes his looks every year, making him look more and more interesting. In some games, when Mario wears a white hat and a cool suit, turns in flame Mario, which gives Mario awesome fire powers, that can destroy everything in his path. Mario has a brother called Luigi, who wears a green shirt and a pinstriped suit that goes with it. Both Luigi and Mario wears brown shoes and white gloves.

The brothers also have rivals called Wario and Walluigi which they almost defeated but they didn't. You should try to play games that include Mario and Luigi. I have a great conviction that you would like Mario and Luigi the moment you play a game with them.

My Cousin Came To My House For The 1st Week Out Of 2 Weeks

My cousin came to my house for 2 weeks.

She was supposed to play with Lucia and me, but my grandpa told us to learn Chinese poems. On the day after she arrived at my house, in the early morning she woke me up and told me she bought Pokemon White for me. Then we played it all morning until breakfast. There was a lot of ants on the breakfast table. Then the next few hours we played Wii ,learned math, grammar, writing and reading. When it was 6:30pm we went to the pool and returned at 7:50pm and ate dinner. Then we played a little and went to sleep.

The next few days we did the same thing and I discovered a new website to play , which is called Fantage. Then on Saturday we played Wii and computer and went to the pool at 4:30pm and returned at 5:30pm.

We were happy the first week and I bet we are going to be happier the 2nd week.

Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic is a hedgehog that is fast as light! He is blue he is on your left. When he gets all the chaos emeralds which are color different diamonds. He will turn gold and turn very strong. There are many games that he is in like Sonic The Black Knight, Sonic Unleashed and Sega All star Racing. He has rivals too like Shadow,Knuckles and Blaze. And one of his biggest enemies is Dr. Egg man. Dr. Egg man makes animals into robots to work for him. In a game when Sonic collects secret rings he turn into a very wild Sonic. The company that made him is called SEGA. He has a friend that is a girl called Amy. She has a wooden hammer that can bang people. Sometimes on the computer there are fun games and cool videos. And if you like Sonic or Mario you can go to Super Smash Flash .com. That's all the sonic today!!

The Yard Sale

On, 8/6/11 My mom and I had our yard sale. We took all the toys and put it into the car. There was no room for me to sit in the car, so I rode the bike that we were going to sell. Then when we got there, I helped my mom unload the car. When we were ready I wrote the prices of the toys on the boxes that were in the yard sale. Some of the toys were not in a box, for example, the bike. So when a person came and buys something and asks us what price is the toy, we tell them. We wait for someone to come and buy our stuff. A person walked by and asked to get some chains or charms. We told him that we didn't have any so he went away. Then someone else came by and he bought some toys and paid us $1.50. Then when we were going to pack up. Then, when we were going to pack up, a person came and used $2.00 toy and went. The total money we got is $3.50. We split the money in half and then my money was $1.75. Then we went home.

My Dream Store

My dream store is very big. It has almost everything you would want , like lots and lots of toys, jewelry, clothes and school supplies.

There are lots of restaurants and the best one is Pizza's Pizzeria. Since my favorite color is red everyone who comes in gets a free red T-Shirt in summer and spring. In fall you get a free red sweater and in winter you get a free red jacket.

And if you want to know it's name it is Jumbo Gumbo. The store has two big inside playgrounds one is called the Monster and the other is called the Space explorer. The Monster is very big it is about 500 feet big , it has about 100 slides, 20 see saws and 120 swings big and small. The Space explorer is short but long. It about 900 feet long. There are 20 big play rockets. There is a time when everything is $2.00 that is when everything is almost GONE!

Fantage

In Fantage, there are pets that you can collect, games you can play,and missions you can do. You also can show off your stickers, medals and levels. There is a map, which is very big. There is lots of games and shops such as, Boxy,Type Boo, Extreme snow boarding, and lots more! You get you own house and barn as soon as you make a account. You can throw a party, Be a judge of a fashion show, which I personally do not like, but you get a lot of stars, which is the currency in this game. You can get gems and trade them in to make items. There are also E coins but you have to pay to get them.

There is also a wizard called Orion who is the maker of the magic orb. You can earn gems by playing, Staries, Candy swap, bubble bug,Magic pop, and Bulls eye. There is also a beach where you can play Fish Fish , Splash, Jelly Fishin', and Dance fever. The settings are, Downtown, Uptown, the beach, the dock, the castle, the lighthouse, and M.T Fantage, school, Wizard's domain, pet town, and of course, your home.

Ottawa Parliament

On 7/3/11 we went to visit Canada's capital, Ottawa. There are 3 blocks. The West block is still being repaired. There are the East block and the Centre block.

We saw the guards changing . It was in central square. There were day guards and night guards. The night guards wore red clothes and big black fury hats. The day guards wore green clothes and green caps. There was background music. All they were doing was switching places. Then we saw the Peace Fire, which was fire on top of a water fountain. It was cool because I don't know how the fire could survive water.

After that we took a tour in the East block, where we saw Prime Minister's office. He had a green wallpaper and a marble fireplace that means he was very important. Then we went to Sir MacDonald's room. He also had a green wallpaper and a marble fireplace. That means that he was also very important. He had a couch which he slept on when he was sick. Last we went in the Chamber meeting room where there were 12 chairs. There were 2 ring bells too, which were used for calling a messenger to carry the paper to the another block.

Finally we took another tour on the Center block. There was a Congress library at the end. I hope you want to visit the Parliament in Ottawa too.

My Last Swim Meet

It was 7/20/2011. I was at the last swim meet of the year. My team is called the Dolphins and we were battling the Tiger sharks.

After I checked the event board, I found out that I would be swimming freestyle and backstroke. In freestyle I got ready to swim. When the referee said go, I did a quick dive and then followed with sprint. I only breathed once per four strokes so that I kept on swimming as hard as I could go. By the time I touched the wall, my time was 31.86. It was better than my best time and I was very happy!

Then I went to swim backstroke. I went into the pool first and got ready facing backward. When the referee said go, I started swimming the whole way. When I was almost at the end of the pool, I slowed down and was exhausted. I got tired quickly. When I touched the wall, I found out my time was 41.36. It was my best time too.

Finally my dad and sister congratulated me. After a quick shower, we went to home.

Thousand Islands

I went on a tour in NY and it was in a tour boat to explore the Thousand Islands. Some islands are Canada's and some are ours . There are about 1800 islands in all of the Thousand Islands.

Here are some of the islands names, Brine stone, Chose Your Own Island and Bolt Castle. Some people even live on the islands. They use boats for transportation. The islands at least need 2 trees to be a island. One island has one tree but it is still a island because it had many trees before but a person used the trees to make a house.

My Take Your Child To Work Day

On 4/28/2011 my dad took me to his work because it was take your child to work day.

First we went to the fitness room and there were a lot of equipment in there. Then we went to my dad's cubicle. And there were 2 computers, bunch of papers and some pens in a mug. Then I read a book of Hank Zipzer and drew on some paper.

After that it was 10:00 so I went to the take your child to work day event place. There were 11 people in all. first we played Icebreakers witch is a game of meeting people. And these were some questions that they asked. What school do you go to? What grade are you? What is your favorite Hobby? Then we got to do a scavenger hunt my team was Tim,Sophia and Christina. We were so close to winning we just needed 3 more seconds to win and team 3 won. After that we ate lunch.

Then we got to interview people and these were the people we got Greg,Denis and somebody else. We got 3 people instead of 2. After that we drew a picture about what would 15 years later. I drew a new planet called Satunpupiter with a UFO and a you don't have to pay money mending machine floating. Then I drew a floating market,floating car and a floating skateboard. Then I went back reading the book I was reading. After that we watched the movie Karate Kid. I got to the last part but my dad came and said it was time time go. So we went but first we went to the fitness room first room for 10 min. Then we went home.

Easter

On April 24 Saturday 2011, I saw a flyer saying there is going to be an Easter Egg Hunt at Seneca Valley High School from 1:00-3:00 PM. I hope we don't miss it because we already missed the prior one. So I asked my mom if we can go. But she said it is very far away. But it is in Germantown so it is not so far away. Then I said please go and she said if you want to go, go by yourself. So I said nothing and went away.

After a long time, I ate lunch to get more energy for the Easter Egg Hunt. But I saw it raining so that was a bummer. After 20 min I saw the sun coming out. Finally we went to the High School. I got a sausage pizza and a Caprisun drink. Then I got 7 eggs from the hunt because there were so many people. And I got to play some games , i.e., playing basketball, taking off the wheels for a race car and putting it back on and stomping fish into baskets. And I won prizes. There were a straw tube, a bookmark, a mini silly bands, a plastic thing and a money note pad. My sister got 21 eggs because she went there twice and played on the Moon bounce.

And there were a lot of prizes like windmills, play money and a bunch more. I still had 1 more game to play but time was up and we went to the library and Lotte before we went home.

Insects

Insects are everywhere except for the Arctic and Antarctica. Their are many kinds of insects like ants,caterpillars and beetles. Insects have 3 main parts. The head,torso and abdomen. Some insects like wasps are predators. Some insects like caterpillars just eat plants. Their are some fast insects like dragonflies and they have really good vision. And the praying mantis is like the king of insects because it waits their until the pray is in the air and then eats it. But it still has to protect its self against dragonflies and other stuff. And the dragonfly has to protect its self from robber flies. And one thing spiders are not insects they are arachnids. And they have 8 legs instead of 6. I hoped you learned a lot about insects!

Twisters

Twisters are really strong wind. Another word for twister is tornado. Twisters are mostly formed in Nebraska,Kansas,Oklahoma and Texas. Here are some things that you might want to know. AF0 is a Gale tornado,it can go 40-72 miles per hour. A F1 is a Moderate tornado,it goes 73-112 miles per hour. A F2 is a Significant tornado,it goes 113-157 miles per hour. A F3 is a Serve tornado,it goes 158-206 miles per hour. A F4 is a Devastating tornado, it goes 207-318 miles per hour. last but not least F5 stands for the Incredible tornado,it goes 319-379 miles per hour! their are mostly 1,200 tornadoes a year! Now let me tell you some weird stories about twisters. Once a twister plucked a chicken's feathers but didn't harm the chicken! And once a twister carried a piano but didn't do any damage to it! Now let me tell you about differences between a tornado watch and a tornado warning. A tornado watch is telling you to keep on the look for a tornado. And a tornado warning is telling you to take cover fast because their is a tornado in your area. I hope you learned a lot about twisters!

Chinese New Year

On February 3, 2011, it was Chinese New Year. It is also called Chinese Lunar New Year although it actually is Lunisolar - is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. Chinese New Year is not on the same day every year. Every Chinese New Year there will be a new animal. Chinese New Year starts at the first day of Spring.On the Chinese New Year kids will Kow Tow on the ground softly then the parents will give the kids money.The national Chinese New year is food is dumplings. Why is it dumplings? Well because a long time ago that is what money was called.When you eat you must eat fish.You can eat all of it but the head and the tail.So this year is 2011 ,that means that the animal is ... the rabbit!My mom made us fish,meatballs,soup and a traditional dish.I hoped you like learning about what is Chinese New Year!
