My Skill in Gaming

You may always see me playing video games, but what is my skill level at them? I could be a professional gamer in disguise, playing tournaments at home or a low-skilled noob trying to not die the moment I spawn. Well, my real skill level is just an average player, but there is always room for improvement as I keep on learning new ways to improve my game from watching videos or just having more experience by playing.

Some games that involve no skill like Adventure Capitalist and Clicker Heroes are very easy and just involve time to move forward. Naturally everyone should be good at these games since nothing interesting happens and you just need to reset your progress to move forward. Other games that are more competitive such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2 and Leauge of Legends involve skill and memorization. The more you know how to do something in those games, you should go around and try to master that so you can have a base to start off of.

Puzzle games and story games are also fun and hard because they make you try to finish the entire game while having to think and timing things perfectly to advance to the next portion of the game. As I said I am only an average gamer and my career in the future would probably not be a professional gamer. I play games to pass time, have fun or just be with my friends.

Winter Storm Jonas

In the new year, 2016 we were at the middle-end of January. Suddenly we were all told that a historic winter storm would be coming our way, winter storm Jonas. It was predicted that we would get around 1-3 feet of snow which would also mean no school. The week the storm hit started off with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and a student holiday which would mean a 3 day school week. So then we went to school on Wednesday and endured all the pain of school. Surprisingly, snow started to fall Wednesday night which would cancel the rest of the week. Friday was also my birthday which meant I got to stay home and enjoy my birthday. Then the snow was falling even harder which meant that school was also cancelled on Monday and Tuesday. The snow was really tall, around the 2 feet mark.

The days that I was at home because of the snow meant that I would be near my computer a lot. Whether if I was playing video games or doing the homework my teachers assigned me to do. Sometimes my teachers would even assign us work over the internet to make sure that we were caught up one everything.

This winter storm has really changed my schedule this week with me only going to school for one day. Shoveling the snow was a hard job but, my dad had bought a snow blower which made the job faster and easier than just using a shovel. Overall this snowstorm had caused a lot of trouble but it was worth all of the school days missed.
