Christmas 2015

The only time I actually wake up earlier than I am supposed to is when I have an event to attend or if it is Christmas. This time the reason was the one and only Christmas. I tried to fall asleep on Christmas Eve's but was too excited so I eventually went to sleep at around 1 o'clock A.M. Then I slept for a few hours and woke up at 7 o'clock. I got dressed as silently ran downstairs to go look at my presents.

When I went downstairs, under the tree there were 9 presents, 3 for me, 3 for my sister, 2 for my grandparents and 1 that my sister made for my parents. I opened my presents to unveil a remote control helicopter, hiking shoes and a new North Face hoodie. I waited for my sister to wake up to find out that she got a pair of gloves, another remote controlled helicopter and an Anna doll from the movie "Frozen".

I tested out my helicopter but I found out that the helicopter was really hard to control and would fly really fast or just slam down into the floor of my house. Because of this, I stopped playing with my helicopter and let my family play with it which would have the same result. They would try to fly the helicopter but would end up crashing it on the floor. Later the helicopter ran out of battery or it just broke, but either way I haven't touched it since but might toy with it at a later day.

The rest of the day went on like a normal day off of school and so, that was the end of my Christmas for this year.

Blood Gene Survey

About a week ago my cousin gave me a survey to do on my family to help her with her science project which she was collecting data on people that have similar blood and what similarities and differences they had. I had to interview my grandpa, grandma, dad and my sister (my mom wasn't in the study)to collect data which I could send back to my cousin.

The first example of different/similar genes was detached and attached earlobes. Earlobes are the bottom of your ear (the place where people get earrings), if they are detached then the earlobes hang freely while if they were attached the would be connected to the rest of your head. Through interviewing, only my dad and I had detached earlobes while my grandma, grandpa and sister didn't.

Example #2 and #3 were if you had freckles and if you had hair on the back of you hand. None of our family had that and they should all be self-explanatory.

The next example was if you could roll your tongue. By rolling your tongue you make a "U" shape with your tongue without using your hands to change it. When people grow older some may learn how to roll the tongue through practice or if they just gain more control over themselves and somehow know how to do it. It was all but my grandpa who couldn't roll his tongue.

The last example was if you had a "Widow's hairline". This is when your hairline has a sudden dip in the middle of it. Again most of us didn't have it except my grandmother.

This study made me more aware of how blood and genes make people different but while I was very similar to my dad with things I might of inherited from him.

More Competitive Gaming

People get picked on everyday in the gaming world, and why is that? Some people are smart and do what they are supposed to do while others troll around annoy the other people who are actually trying to accomplish a goal but are put up with trolls like these people. Then the people get mad at the trolls and start insulting them because they are so annoying. Others (like me) tend to stay quiet and jut mute the annoying person. This was all very similar to what happened the other day to me and my team in CS:GO (Counter Strike: Global Offensive).

It started off seeming like a regular match until we found out someone was AFK (away from keyboard/inactive). But then we found out that person wasn't AFK and had a very high pitched voice. We weren't sure what gender that player was because the voice sounded fake at sometimes and they sounded like Justin Bieber. Eventually that person started to annoy one person and so every muted that person except one person because he needed to hear what was going on. Sometimes you could hear him/her when the guy who didn't mute her was talking.

There was another person on our team who just kept rushing in and not listening to the team. He would just rush the enemy team and get himself killed. Also the Justin Bieber person started trolling and didn't do the objective that we were doing.Somehow I was clutching some rounds and we ended up winning. To help the community to not experience that person again, I reported him (we all assumed it was a him by the end of the game) for chat spamming and grieving.

When you have to spend about a hour with strangers, don't be a jerk unless you wan to be kicked,

My Competitive Gaming Expirence

It was just another normal day, until I logged onto my computer and started to play CS:GO, a competitive game where people get mad at each other for failing. So I started a competitive game and wasn't allowed to leave after that. To be honest, my team wasn't all that good, nor was I but I was still doing better than 3 of the 4 other players on my team. We started off winning the first 2 rounds out of  a possible total of 29 (First team to 16 wins). But then my team started failing and we eventually kicked some person because they were yelling into their microphone swear words at us even though he was the one bringing us down.

After we kicked him it began halftime. We switched sides (we started off as Counter-Terrorists but switched to Terrorists and had to plant our bomb) and we began to make a comeback. Suddenly the person at the bottom of the scoreboard got mad at everyone and tried to kick everyone but only got himself kicked. I was too funny seeing my team break apart and fail to concentrate on the game. We kept failing even though we were almost making a comeback of 11-13.

Then came the real conflict. Everyone on my team was arguing except me (because my microphone didn't work) and on  a three man team, if 2 people agree to kick, you get kicked. So other guy got really mad and kicked me. Turns out after that he kicked the other person as well. Because he was such as jerk, he was on a team by himself and lost the game which didn't affect our stats but did to him.

So in competitive gaming or just in public, don't be a jerk.

My Daily Middle School Schedule

In the morning when I am half awake, I trudge to 1st period trying to stay awake. I go to the basement of my school in room 008 is my Spanish class. Spanish is a class where I wake up and get ready for the school day. Most of the work in Spanish is new to me but I can still figure out what all the words mean if I practice and do my homework.

For my 2nd period I have gym with around 110 other kids. We change into our gym uniforms and walk around the gym until we start class. Sometimes we could be doing fun things such as basketball or football while other times we may be doing things like dancing which is not  my cup of tea. Gym gets me active and energized for the day.

Period 3 is Algebra where I am in the Kingdom of 109, the kingdom my math teacher created that learns math. It may sound cheesy, which it is but sometimes it is funny for how serious my math teacher dedicated to his Kingdom of 109 project.

Period 4 is when I have English and is personally my least favorite subject because I think it is boring when learning about grammar and failing everything my teacher gives me.

My fifth period is computer solutions where we learn about Microsoft Office an HTML, but I learn everything too quickly and finish every assignment so I just get to play on the computers.

6th period is history which can be boring on sometimes but fun on other times such as the surprisingly easy tests and quizzes and debates.

My last period in science where we learn about nature such as cells or living animals. It is an easy class if you study and pay attention in class.

My First Day of Winter Break (2k15)

Today marked the first day of my 2 week long winter break for 2015. Nothing really special was accomplished; especially in the first half of the day. It was just a normal Saturday, except that all of this was valuable time that could not be wasted because it would be the few remaining days of 2015 and the few days of my freedom from school.

During the afternoon of that day, we went shopping just like every other Saturday afternoon. My mom, grandma, grandpa and I would go to a few Asian supermarkets to purchase vegetable, fruits, meat and a ton of other small things and treats that we frequently use in our household. When we got back, I had to survey my family members to see the similarities and differences that our blood would have.

In the evening, we got to eat hot pot. This is when there is a pot in the middle of the table which you can throw seafood, meat, vegetables and other condiments in which would sort of mix together and boil together. Sooner or later the water would make bubbling sounds and then the food would be ready. You would pick out what you would want to eat and dip it in some sauce of your picking. The hot pot I had was very good but didn't have enough food as I would have liked because I didn't get full all the way.

Overall today was just like any other Saturday but I just felt like I should record it as it is being the first day of 2015 winter break,

Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is an addictive mobile game which can be found in the App Store, the Google Play Store or emulated on the PC. It involves you building a village which is where you can build defenses to defend your base, build army buildings to supply your troops when attacking other bases and collecting resources to make your base look more intimidating than others. Clash of Clans has a ranking system which is described as trophies. You start out as with 400 trophies in the Bronze III league, but as you move up trophies, you will gradually get promoted to a higher league which gives you better loot bonuses when you successfully raid another person's base.

There are three main resources in the game, gold, elixir and dark elixir. Dark elixir is the hardest of them to get and is unlocked when your Townhall reaches level 7. Using those resources you can build more defenses, resource collectors, army barracks and your Townhall which determines how many buildings of each type you can build and what your army looks like. The higher your Townhall, the harder everything will get for you.

It is tempting to spend money on gems in the game which will make everything easier, but you can avoid that and be patient by doing achievements to get gems instead. Sooner or later, you will become strong and understand the game.

Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2 or as most people call it, TF2 is the 2nd best selling free to play game in the Steam store.  There are many aspects of the game that make it feel like you are playing a game you actually paid for instead of it being a free to play game. It is a first person shooter which means you will be playing whichever character you chose in first person mode (or looking through their eyes when playing). There are two teams, Red and Blu that compete to finish what ever goal first. In this game you can choose one of the 9 classes available to play as. Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper or Spy. Each of these classes look different, act different and have a different purpose in the game.

The Scout is one out of the three classes classified as an offense unit along side the Soldier and the Pyro. The scout is a fast moving, low-health class who's main purpose is to do things quickly and accomplish the goal as fast as he can. The Soldier however is a army soldier with a rocket launcher who is slow and has average health. He can shoot rockets which as explosive and deal large amounts of damage to the other team and destroy the other team's buildings made by Engineers. Lastly, the Pyro is a hazmat with a flame thrower who moves relatively quick and has a decent amount of health. He can set things on fire and push people back with his flame thrower. This class really can have any main goal but it is better off killing the other team.

The classes classified as defense are the Demoman, the Heavy and the Engineer. The Demoman is a Scottish man who likes to fiddle around with grenades and bombs. So in result he has a grenade launcher that shoot grenades that explode on direct impact or explode after X amount of time depending on the situation. The Heavy is a tank like guy from the Soviet Union with a large minigun that he wields. He deals massive amount of damage a but has slow movement speed. The Engineer however is a man who likes to build buildings such as sentries to keep the other team from attacking or teleporters to help the team get from one place to the next.

The final three classes are classified as the support classes. They consist of the Medic, Sniper and the Spy. The Medic is a guy who has a medi-gun which can heal teammates if they are close enough. He is not battle oriented but can still do some damage with his dart "machine gun". The Sniper has a sniper riffle and usually stays behind his allies to headshot the other classes so the other people on his team can move forward with what they are doing. Finally the Spy is a guy who can turn invisible, disguise as the other team and backstab people which kill them in one shot. He is most commonly used behind the enemy lines to get all the backstabs he needs.

The different game modes in TF2 consist of Payload, Payload Race, CTF, Control Points, Attack and Defend and Special Delivery. Payload is when one team tries to move a bomb in a cart to the other team's base to explode it while the other team is trying to defend against the bomb until the time runs out. Payload Race is when both teams have a bomb an they are racing to move the bomb into the other team's base. CTF is when there are flags on each side of the map and you have to steal the other team's flag and bring it back as your own. Control Points is when there are points on the map you have to capture and your goal is to capture all of them. Attack and Defend however is when one team tries to capture all the points while the other teams tries to defend against that team. At last, Special Delivery is when there is one flag which both teams compete for to bring onto the rocket and capture it.

Overall TF2 s a great game and has many cosmetic items which are part's of it's major source of income and a way to see different cosmetics to differentiate against other people.
